Motor firm on the road to growth
AN EXPANDING tyre and vehicle company has announced record revenues of £60m as it looks forward to long-term growth plans across the North East.
North Eastern Tyre and Exhausts is now working with Hartlepool-based training provider Amacus to drive performance and customer service across its 23 branches from Morpeth to Sheffield.
The Middlesbrough-based company, which employs 360 people and recently acquired 15 new servicing centres, is using specialist training to develop the skills of its managers and fully integrate its new branches within the network.
Amacus has now designed a package of support to match the needs of the company and its 63 strong management team – with an emphasis on improving communication, team work, plugging skills gaps and boosting productivity from the top down.
Having recently reported record revenues for the last 12 months, North Eastern Tyre and Exhausts is already seeing the investment pay off and expects further improvements in future.
Managing director Gavin Marshall said: “We’ve grown significantly over the last 15 years and, underpinned by our recent acquisitions, have ambitious plans for the future.
“This obviously creates new challenges for the business. Our investment in training is about ensuring we equip staff, particularly our managers, with the skills they need to do their job and ensure that the same standards of excellence are consistent across the business.”
