The taste of success
A MIDDLESBROUGH COFFEE importer and distributor has signed a clutch of new deals to supply its new blend to bars and restaurants throughout the region and Northern Ireland.
Moran Beverage Services has spent over two years developing Caffe Vinci with expert coffee bean roasters in northern Italy.
Moran launched the new blend to the UK market in January following investment of around £250,000 to help with the new brand’s marketing and now plans to increase the company’s warehousing and premises.
Jim Moran said: “Caffe Vinci has really taken off, it is proving a real hit with coffee lovers and, as well as this recent batch of new clients, we’re also in talks with some big names all over the UK.
“We pride ourselves on our strict quality control, that’s why it took so long to develop our new blend, and we are recognised by many industry bodies for our high standards.
“As we progress through 2010 we’re looking forward to launching another new blend to the market which will help us to further grow our business on Teesside.”
Moran has now agreed contracts, to supply Caffe Vinci to La Pharmacie in Middlesbrough, the Shorthorn Inn in Appleton Wiske near Northallerton, The Laurels Coffee Shop in Staindrop, County Durham, Osbournes in Yarm and the Sanctuary at Belle Vue in Middlesbrough.
In addition, Moran has signed an exclusive deal with Northern Coffee, a well-know coffee distributor in Portaferry, Co. Down in Northern Ireland.
Jim Moran established Moran Beverage Services in the early 1980s, before the surge in demand for coffee thanks to leading High Street names such as Starbucks and Costa Coffee.
The company employs five people with plans to increase its workforce with the launch of the new blend.
