Entrust fuels expansion plan
AN INTERNET retailer is set to roll out its service from the North East into other UK regions on the back of soaring turnover and a new batch of financial support.
Food Local Food, based in Ashington, Northumberland, will fund its expansion plans thanks to financial backing from Entrust, through the Regional Enterprise Loan Fund (RElf).
The company now aims to double its annual turnover through developing its website and stepping up its marketing activity.
Managing director Alison Taylor said: “We are keen to grow the business further and so once the business plan for the expansion had been completed, we needed to source finance to help fulfill the plan.
“Our short term plans will also see us taking our business model into other regions.”
RELF is a £2.1m fund targeted at start-up and growing businesses in the North East that are unable to fully finance their borrowing requirements from traditional sources.
