New online marketing tool for North East businesses
BUSINESSES in Northumberland will be able to raise their profile thanks to a new online resource which created to help them promote their organisation.
Northumberland Tourism has launched www.marketingnorthumberland.com as part of its Market Town Welcome project.
Businesses can use the website’s resources to improve their marketing ability and attract new customers. Sarah Woodford, Market Town Welcome co-ordinator, said: “We’ve been working with businesses in our market towns to develop a range of practical resources which organisations can take advantage of, free of charge. These can be used to promote our destinations, tourism businesses, festivals and events.
“Businesses clearly told us that they wanted assistance with making their marketing more effective. We’ve created a user-friendly website which any business in Northumberland can use to help attract visitors to their town. It’s something which they can benefit from for years to come.”
The website provides help and advice about how to use the Northumberland brand, handy ‘how-to’ guides on subjects such as designing your own leaflets to advertising and digital media. The site also provides free to use images, town logos and copy for businesses to download for their own marketing materials.
