Rusti rolls out the region’s latest must have
AFTER playing a key role in the development of a globally-successful hair straightening product, a North East hairdresser is to pioneer the latest groundbreaking beauty product.
Rusti Todd, owner of Newcastle salon Green-Ginger Hairdressing, has been part of the year long development and testing of the new TheO heated rollers, which are now set to be introduced throughout the UK.
The salon’s 10-strong team is the first in the North East to take delivery of the rollers, which the inventors, Cloud 9, predict will see women abandon their beloved straighteners in favour of the new product.
Ms Todd said: “Heated rollers have been around since 1966, but have never really taken off like straighteners did.
“The new breed of rollers heats up using induction technology so they are hot in the hair, not in your hand, and they are made of a lightweight, soft-grip material similar to Velcro, so there’s no need for pins.
“It’s the most exciting development in professional hair products for decades, and we’re delighted to have played a part in it.”
This is the second time that Rusti Todd has had a hand in developing products used by thousands of women.
She was also asked to write the step-by-step guides for the Cloud 9 styling irons, which were launched last year and have proved an international success.
