The taste of success - new catering jobs come to Darlington

A FORMER employee of The Sage in Gateshead is injecting £150,000 and recruiting 20 staff from across the North-East to help with her latest business venture.

Jane Gallogly, known within the catering industry for her success in launching the restaurant at The Sage, is joining forces with chef, Ian Woodcock, to open Seasons – a contemporary and informal all-day eatery in the centre of Darlington in October.

The business partners, who also run a restaurant in Richmond, are in the process of appointing a long list of staff from around the North-East, including an experienced general manager and 10 full-time front of house staff.

Seasons will open in a former town centre pub, The Old Dunn Cow, and the couple are investing £150,000 in a total re-fit including a fully-fitted kitchen, customer toilets and serving bar.

“We are looking for catering staff that are friendly, efficient and hard working,” said Miss Gallogly.

“We want to create a venue that appeals to everyone from business people coming in for light lunches and meetings through to shoppers and other locals such as mother and toddler groups. We need staff who will share our vision and work with us to help replicate Seasons in a town centre setting.”
