Design agency expands
A NEWCASTLE based design company business has moved to new premises and expects to turnover £250,000 in the next 12 months.
Despite the economic downturn, Creative Image Design has just taken on two new members of staff and moved to a larger office in the city’s Hoults Estate.
The move follows an increase in commissions from the online marketing and ecommerce sector, which has seen the company’s turnover increase from £50,000 in the first two years, to an estimated £250,000 in the next 12 months
Creative Image Design, which offers a variety of web design, graphic design and print services, was originally established by Ross Carr in August 2003 after the designer, who was helping run a family print and design company in Hexham at the time, spotted a gap in the Newcastle market.
He said: “The design industry has changed a lot since I first started out and Creative Image Design has adapted and grown continually as a result.
“We moved to Hoults Estate from our original site in Westgate Road because we were working on behalf of a number of companies based there, including film production company Standing Stone, but this larger office has ultimately enabled us to take on additional members of staff and better cater for our growing client base from around the UK.
“It also offers plenty of scope for us to grow further, which we firmly intend to do within the coming months.”
In the last few months the firm has completed work for a wide range of clients in numerous sectors, from property site HouseHunter to fundraising initiative thecharityteam and fashion boutiques CocoLove and Edo, who are now both able to offer online sales.
Creative Image Design now expects to secure further contracts in the coming months and expects to increase its workforce by the end of the year.
