Bingo firm targets national audience
TYNESIDE-BASED online bingo firm Crown Bingo is to sponsor Five TV’s flagship Live From Studio Five programme, following a deal brokered by fellow North East company The Media Network.
The contract aims to capitalise on the programme’s peak broadcast time of 6.25pm weekdays and will promote Crown’s new ‘live presenter bingo’ innovation to viewers of the show which is fronted by Kate Walsh and Jayne Middlemiss.
This is just the latest of over 200 TV advertising campaigns that The Media Network has worked on over the last fourteen years.
Now based in North East, the company was established by Carl Phillipson, who worked in London for over twelve years and is a former shareholder of a top 30 media agency.
Dan Smyth, representing Crown Bingo, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Five TV’s Live From Studio Five show and this follows a successful £500,000 summer TV campaign. It really is a great platform to showcase our innovative live bingo room to the nation during a peak time slot.
“A word of warning though, our live bingo presenters are fast becoming pro’s, so Kate and Jayne had better watch out.”

This, coupled with the audience similarities, made it an obvious choice when the Five TV opportunity came up.”
