North East digital empire wins national award
DIGITAL agency TH_NK has won the ‘best use of digital by sector’ award at Communicate Magazine’s Digital Impact Awards for its work on the Northern Rock Mortgages site.
The award presentation was held at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill to celebrate excellence in digital stakeholder communications.
TH_NK’s work made it easier for customers to find a mortgage and learn more about the home-buying process.
As well as containing useful advice and information for different customer groups, it also included a range of new tools such as a jargon buster, budget planner and overpayment calculator to take the complexity out of the selection process.
As a result the Northern Rock Mortgage site saw the average time on the site increase 56% while there was an increasing number of people expressing an interest in applying for a mortgage.
CEO Tarek Nseir said: “TH_NK prioritise User Experience in all of their work and carried out extensive research to understand the needs and motivations of different mortgage customers. We also interviewed financial advisors and undertook user testing throughout the project to see how people responded to the site when they had specific tasks to carry out.”
TH_NK has offices in London and Newcastle and works with a number of major brands including Bupa, BBC, Northern Rock, Blackberry and Sony.
