Heating firm fired up by new investment
A FAMILY-owned central heating and fireplace company on Teesside is expanding into both new markets and premises with an 18-month, £70k investment and growth plan which will create up to five new jobs.
Pawletts – first established as GA Pawlett more than 39 years ago – has just signed for additional premises on Skelton, which will see the business move into the market for selling, installing and maintaining range cookers and bathrooms alongside its existing services.
As reported in the Gazette earlier this year, managing director, Chris Pawlett, invested heavily in the transformation of a former parts store at the Guisborough base on Northgate into a fully functional showroom to improve customer experience.
As a result of added space in the new premises, the existing Guisborough showroom will be extended further on to two floors.
“Our existing central heating and fireplace business has gone from strength to strength since we refurbished our Guisborough showroom, we’ve had excellent feedback from customers and now we want to build on that.” said Mr Pawlett.
“We obviously wanted to be on the High Street at Skelton for foot-fall and the new premises will enable us to move into new products and services as well as offer much more in choice for fires and stoves.
