North East design firm joins the space race
A NORTH EAST design firm has been chosen by a global industry leader to be part of a team that will bid for multi million pound public sector work.
_space group is one of just six companies to have been invited to join global infrastructure giant Parsons Brinckerhoff on the Government framework to provide services to the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
The group will now deliver urban design and architecture, masterplanning and landscaping on all contracts won within the North of England.
_space group chief executive Rob Charlton said: “Being part of this talent alliance bidding for exciting projects that could help re-shape the future of the public housing environment is a great coup for the company.
“We are extremely pleased to have had our experience and capabilities recognised by our industry peers and to be invited to join a panel of such distinguished experts in their own fields.
“With the current emphasis on public sector funding cuts, it’s more important than ever that projects are tightly managed.”
The HCA is the national housing and regeneration agency for England and its brief is to create opportunity for people to live in high quality, sustainable places.
It does this by providing funding for affordable housing, bringing land back into productive use and improving quality of life by raising standards and sustainability of the physical and social environment.
_space group now has offices in the North East, North West and Yorkshire, is already well known throughout the country for its work, having recently completed the first tall building strategy for Northampton.
