Specialist offshore wind event heads to the region
A BUSINESS development organisation for the rapidly evolving offshore wind sector is hosting a specialist workshop in the region.
With £200 million being invested by the Government in to low carbon technologies this is seen by many as an ideal time for organisations looking to explore the sector.
NOF Energy and Consultancy BVG Associates are organising the event, which will focus on the key players in the offshore wind sector as well as the opportunities for growth over the next decade.
Joanne Leng, Director Business Development at NOF Energy, said: “The NOF Energy workshop will give delegates the chance to explore the opportunities within the growing sector, with advice on the best routes to take to succeed, as well as a realistic look at the barriers which inhibit new entrants to the supply chain arena.”
Attendees will be given the opportunity to gain an understanding of the wind farm components, including the latest technological trends and supply chain constraints, as well as the health, safety and training issues in the sector.
The event will take place on the 23rd November at the NOF Energy Conference facility at Mandale Business Park in Durham.
