Sage announces profits surge
NEWCASTLE BASED software specialist Sage has announced a management shake-up alongside a 14% rise in full year profits.
In the first results under new chief executive Guy Berruyer, who took over in October, the company reported profits of £355.7m and said it was seeing signs of improvement in its markets despite the current economic uncertainty.
It is also reportedly on the lookout for further acquisitions, with £600m available for the right deals.
The company also confirmed it has acquired 252,000 additional customers in the last 12 months.
Sage employs 1,200 people at its Great North Park HQ in Newcastle.
