Recruitment company increases performance in challenging economic conditions
A NORTH EAST recruitment firm has seen its turnover increase by £600,000 this year.
TechConsult UK Ltd, which is based at The Wilton Centre near Redcar, says that its turnover for the year is expected to be about £3m.
The company has witnesess increased turnover and profits despite the toughest global trading conditions seen for many years.
Managing director Steve Guest said: “This year has been really tough for many of the sectors in which we operate. Despite that, we have increased both turnover and profit, which is an excellent performance.
“The message we take from the end of year figures is that even in a recession, companies are still remaining positive and are always looking for the skilled men and women needed to see them through tough times and take advantage of opportunities when they arise.
The company, which operates within the offshore, fabrication and maintenance, process, shipbuilding, and civil engineering industries, says that it has witnessed a rise in its rise by 23 %.
He added: “Now, there is talk about recovery, albeit slow, and we believe that we are well placed to take advantage of that growing confidence.”
