North East recruitment firm doubles turnover
A NORTH EAST recruitment firm has announced a 100% surge in sales turnover for the year ending 2010.
Zenith People, which is based in Hebburn, was hit hard during the recession as major clients within the Automotive and engineering sectors reduced staff and working hours.
After restructuring the business, the company believes it is now a “leaner” proposition and has seen its client base return and sales improve.
“2009 was a very tough year for us,” said MD Angela Anderson.
“The recession hit us hard but we learned some good lessons from it as did our clients. We decided to restructure the business and look at new approaches and new markets.
“I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve doubled our sales turnover in 2010. We have come back bigger and better and it just goes to show there is still a huge future for SME’s in the region.”
Zenith People is expecting 2011 to provide further improvement and having recently taken on a Marketing Consultant, it hopes to add further Recruitment Consultants to its ranks.
