Emergency call out business thinks big
A MIDDLESBROUGH based emergency call-out and repair business is looking to add 100 new employees to its Tees Valley workforce as it brings forward its nationwide expansion plans.
Homefix 24/7, which already employs 220 people in the Tees Valley, will start work on employing call centre staff and tradesmen across the area in January with the hope of growing to 320 employees by the end of the month.
Established by Manchester-based parent company, Mainframe, in November 2009, Homefix 24/7 employs 60 people at its Middlesbrough head office and a further 160 at its main UK depot in Stockton.
Alisdair Beveridge, business development manager for Homefix 24/7, said: “The recent cold snap has been a successful time for Homefix 24/7 and confirmed that the business model works even in extreme situations, as we saw a 60% rise in calls.
“2010 has been a very good year for the business and we are looking to build upon that in 2011.”
The expansion plans for the rest of 2011 involve establishing a number of depots in various parts of the country.
Sites across the North East are being considered, as well as in other parts of the UK.
