The Weekly Poll Results : Enterprise Allowance Scheme will be expanded
The Government recently announced that the Enterprise Allowance scheme will be expanded and could create up to 40,000 new businesses nationwide by 2013.
The scheme will provide up to £2,000 to those starting up new businesses and will provide access to 40,000 experienced business mentors. It will be rolled out nationwide by the autumn.
But bdaily wanted to find out if you, the reader, thought the new scheme went far enough in last week’s poll.
Almost 80% of you thought the scheme merely scratched the surface and much more action is needed.
Only 14% of readers thought the venture is a once in a lifetime opportunity to grow the region’s economy and 7% couldn’t make their minds up.
