Dangers of texting while walking: woman falls into fountain
Multi-tasking is a skill most frequently attributed to women, but it appears to have abandoned one female shopper in America who became so engrossed by her mobile phone that she failed to spot a fountain in her path.
The video of an unidentifed woman falling into an ornamental fountain in a US shopping centre while distracted by her mobile phone has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on video sharing website YouTube.
Like a slapstick comedy scene, the oblivious woman walks straight towards the fountain, trips and falls head first into the water, completely soaking herself and her phone.
Unfortunately for the woman her embarrassing moment was captured by security surveillance cameras in the store and was posted on YouTube.
Commentary believed to be by employees at the shopping centre can be heard on the tape.
“Oh my God. Play it back, play it back,” one says clearly amused.
