North East design firm plots global expansion
Newcastle-based RyanFosterDesign has announced plans to expand internationally and will work with a US firm to create an eCommerce store.
Its latest venture, which now allows the company to rollout more products, was designed and created by Ryan and is already generating increased orders.
DODOcase, based in San Francisco, recently won both the Shopify ‘Build a Business’ contest and the MacWorld Case of the Year 2010 Eddy Award for their custom-made iPad and Kindle covers.
A spokesperson for RFD, said: “We are really pleased to be working with DODOcase on the next generation of their Shopify eCommerce store. Expanding to the US is great news for us as a company and bodes well for the North East’s export market.”
“It’s been exciting to help promote a product which combines traditional skills with the most modern technology available.
“As more people turn to eReaders there is going to be increased demand for protective covers and the DODOCase provides the perfect solution both aesthetically and from a practical point of view.”
