More work in the pipeline for North East firm
Fastflow Pipeline Services has started 2011 with two important contract wins worth £1.5 million for its trunk mains cleaning service.
The deals, with Northumbria Water, will see the company’s award winning system deployed on a 9.3 km stretch of Ponteland and Gosforth near Tyneside and a 3.6 km stretch between Whittle Dene and Millway in Horesley, Northumberland.
Neil Armstrong, owner and chief executive officer of Fastflow, said: “I am delighted that we have won these contracts. We spent a lot of time and money developing our unique cleaning system to make it safer, more environmentally friendly and cost effective for the customer.
“We are now starting to see the fruits of our labour and having enjoyed quite a year in 2010, to start 2011 with a double success is excellent news. We are excited about the system we now have and hope to extend operations around the UK.”
Over the past 12 months, Fastflow has won a series of contracts – including one to manage and maintain the North East’s clean water network - worth an estimated £220 million, which will provide work for up to a decade.
As a result, the company is creating two new senior posts - a commercial manager and a project engineer.
