Middlesbrough firm completes Spanish hat-trick
A firm which supplies technology to the energy and construction sectors has secured a third Spanish contract.
Middlesbrough-based Unasys, which provides hook-up, commissioning and completions services, is set to complete the Spanish contract hat-trick having previously won two major expansion projects with Cepsa.
The most recent win is a support contract on one of the biggest construction projects in Spain.
Unasys will manage the mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up for the projects.
The foundations of the latest deal were formed during a trade visit to Spain organised by NOF Energy, the business development organisation for the oil, gas and energy sectors.
Mick Flynn, director of Unasys, said: “NOF Energy’s market visits have always proved very fruitful for us. The contacts we have established in Spain are invaluable in our aims to expand globally and I would recommend the organisation’s visits to any company in the supply chain looking to trade internationally.”
Working in association with the British Embassy in Madrid, NOF Energy structured the five-day visit to include a number of significant locations in the Spanish energy sector and meetings with high profile companies and individuals.
These events enabled member companies to establish valuable contacts and, in the case of Unasys, begin business negotiations.
