Survey results: Income woes for readers
A BBC report this week warned that the average British worker earned £20,149 at the start of 2011 - a real terms fall of 5% from what they were earning in the middle of the recession.
The average employee takes home £1,088 a year less than two years ago when the sum is adjusted for inflation, research commissioned by BBC Panorama suggested.
We asked for your views, with 25.7% of bdaily readers admitting to taking a pay cut in the last two years.
Almost half (42.7%) said their salary had been frozen for the last two years, meaning a real time fall when inflation is considered.
Just 34% of readers have had a pay rise since 2009.
