Billingham based firms sees significant growth
A Teesside firm has created 24 new jobs as a result of winning a £6.25m contract last October.
Engineering and information group Pearson Harper has announced the appointment of 24 new staff into new roles.
The recruitment is part of Pearson-Harper’s ongoing expansion and follows the firm announcing a £6.25million ($AUD10.3m) contract by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd last year.
The new appointments range across all aspects of Pearson-Harper’s operations and will be based at both the Head Office in Billingham and Perth office in Western Australia.
22 of the jobs will be based in the North East while 2 will go down under.
Alex Hayward, Commercial Director at Pearson-Harper explained: “We’ve expanded the team across the full range of technical roles, from project management, software development, IT, data analysis and assembly to the commercial and support functions.
The existing team has now grown by over 50%. We’re delighted to welcome our new colleagues.
In addition, Pearson-Harper is currently working with a number of Blue Chip organisations including Chevron, BP, ConocoPhillips and Sabic at sites across the world ranging from Australia and Azerbaijan to Angola.
The firm said it will be looking to recruit further in the coming months.
Martyn Pellew, President of the North East Chamber of Commerce and Non-Executive Director of Pearson-Harper, said: “These are important and exciting times for Pearson-Harper.
“These appointments represent significant growth for the company and a great boost to the North East.”
