Poll result: Cash-strapped reader’s pockets hit
British household budgets face their biggest squeeze in 90 years, a leading economic consultancy said yesterday.
The Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) said soaring inflation coupled with low pay rises means household peacetime disposable income is at its lowest since 1921.
Meanwhile, almost 80% of bdaily readers said they have less disposable income this year than last, with only 1 in 5 respondents lucky enough to be better off than last year.
