Van Mildert heads to Humberside

One of the region’s fashion retailers is continuing to expand its portfolio of boutiques, opening a new store in Hull this week.

Van Mildert, has invested over £300,000 in the 6,000sqft retail space within Hull’s Princes Quay Shopping Centre and has created ten new retail jobs.

The firm now has seven stores across the North East and North Yorkshire.

Van Mildert owner, Eric Williams said: “We’re confident we have brought something new and exciting to the city.

“It’s been an incredible six months for Van Mildert and we have ambitious plans for further expansion this year.”

The new boutique will provide an array fashion brands including; Burberry, Nudie Jeans, Maharishi, Vivienne Westwood, Hugo Boss, Belstaff and Evisu.

Van Mildert is part of the Delima Retail group of fashion stores, owned by brothers Eric and Cyril Williams.

Earlier this year Sir Tom Hunter began a joint venture with the firm handing over the responsibility of buying for Cruise Fashion Ltd to the Van Mildert team.

Mike Killoran, General Manager of Princes Quay said: “Van Mildert is a fantastic asset to Princes Quay. They are an incredibly well-respected fashion retail brand and represent a unique addition to the city’s shopping experience.

“Hull is a great city for Van Mildert. People travel from a wide area to come shopping in the city centre every week.”
