Stone rolls on with major contract wins
A Darlington firm has secured two major new industrial contracts on Teesside.
After enjoying a period of rapid growth in its restoration and conservation fields, family-run Stone Technical Services’s industrial arm has now won work at INEOS Plant Utilities and Dow Haltermann.
Stone’s specialist industrial team will be carrying out inspections on all the boiler-house chimneys at INEOS at Seal Sands.
At Dow Haltermann in Middlesbrough, experts will be completing a series of chimney maintenance work.
This year has seen Stone launch a new office in Cheshire and re-locate its London site to a larger, more central location.
The company now has premises in Cheadle Hulme near Stockport, close to Piccadilly Circus on Orange Street in central London, Pinner in Middlesex and its headquarters in Darlington
Managing director Dave Stone said: “In the early days, Stone built its reputation on its industrial work and, as a North East company, this field remains very important to us. It’s a niche area as places like Dow Haltermann and INEOS are complex locations with specialist safety and access requirements. Our team works to exacting safety standards and has vast experience in the industrial sector so is well-equipped to complete such projects.”
