Poll result: The public / private pay debate
AMID a new report which shows a widening gap between private and public sector pay, we asked bdaily readers for their views.
Over half (52%) said they believed the Government needs to get tougher on public sector pay scales and bring them more in line with the private sector.
Just 14% said that public sector pay rates were justified while 34% of readers said director-level people with six figure salaries in the public sector should have their wages slashed.
