North Tyneside car parts firm secures £2.5 million deal
A North Tyneside car parts and repair firm is eyeing rapid expansion after securing a £2.5m deal.
Cheviot 4x4, based in North Shields is gearing up for a move into premises three times larger after landing the major deal that could take its products to over 400 global distributors.
After developing a division within the company that designs and manufactures white label products the firm has won the contract to develop and supply off-road accessories and equipment to an international reseller.
In addition the firm has said that over the next five years it is on target to triple its turnover to £3.5m as it continues to spread its global reach.
Managing director, David Crossman, said: “Like most firms in the automotive industry, the recession was tough and we did see a slump in sales.
“We see our new products division expanding as time goes on. It has opened up a whole new market for us and we are proud to be associated with such a large reseller.”
