Restaurant operator to create 10 new jobs
A fast-growing restaurant operator is celebrating the first Birthday of its Darlington restaurant by opening a new venue in County Durham, creating 10 new jobs in the process.
Café 85 is opening its third restaurant in the region within The Red Well Inn in Barnard Castle to add to its remaining sites in Darlington and Yarm.
The restaurant on Harmire Road has initially created 10 new jobs, although there are likely to be more added to this as the popularity of the venue grows.
Company owner, Simon Leadbetter, said: “We saw the potential to expand what we are already doing.
“This new premises has a much bigger bar than our current sites and hopefully this will prove popular with Barnard Castle’s locals and visitors.”
The firm expects the new restaurant to generate around £600,000-a-year in trade annually.
Mr Leadbetter suggested there might be the potential to open further sites across the region in the future.
