Happy ‘Keepmoat’ families

Like any good son Luke Glaister knows that ‘Mum knows best’.

So when his mother suggested he buy a home on her estate, Luke, 35, moved with his pregnant wife Vikki, 27, to Keepmoat Homes’ High View development in Blaydon.

Luke and Vikki, who is expecting twins, were already looking for a bigger place to bring up their family when Mum, Vicki Taylor, 64, completed the purchase of her home.

She had no hesitation in recommending High View to her son and daughter-in-law and having taken a look at the development, they decided it was the place for them too.

Said Luke: “My mother bought an Ashby house type at High View last year and has thoroughly enjoyed living there. We had looked round other new build sites in the area but we thought that Keepmoat Homes offered the best quality and gave great value for money. The shared equity scheme also made the house prices very reasonable.”

So reasonable that the Glaister’s were able to upgrade their reservation twice - from a two bedroom Normanby to a three bedroom Ashby and then to the larger three bedroom Clarendon. The extra space will come in handy when the couples’ twins arrive in August.

“We love the house and are really enjoying living at High View, next to good neighbours in a nice area. We are looking forward to the arrival of our twins, the perfect addition to our family and home,” added Luke.

Christine Harrison, Sales Director, with Keepmoat Homes North East said: “We are keen to help people with growing families and we hope Luke, Vikki and their children will be very happy at High View”.

Part of an ambitious regeneration programme delivered by Keepmoat Homes, Yuill Homes, NomadE5 Housing Association and Gateshead Council, the area has benefitted from the introduction of new facilities and quality, affordable housing for sale, rent and shared ownership. Of the 700 homes built Keepmoat developed 232 and has helped scores of buyers make the transition from renting to home ownership.

Blaydon is a thriving community with a location that offers access to a wide range of services and leisure activities. The Metro Centre, one of Europe’s largest indoor shopping malls is just minutes away and fans of the outdoors will want to explore the picturesque villages further up the Tyne valley from which High View is an excellent starting point.

The development offers good transport links to Gateshead, Newcastle and Durham and all are within a comfortable commute. Only four homes remain at the site – a trio of three bedroomed Howarths and a two bedroom Normanby.
