North firms head to key event
Representatives of four successful North East firms will be flying the regional flag at an event in London later this month hosted by the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA).
The BVCA’s Growth Forum is an invitation-only event designed to broker introductions between successful venture-backed portfolio companies and mid-market investment firms looking for investment opportunities.
The regional firms taking part are Newcastle-based Royston Engineering, technology business Peratech, internet service provider The Onyx Group and medical software diagnostics business Biosignatures.
The participating firms have been invited to the 15 June event by regional fund management firm NEL Fund Managers Ltd, with whom they either have a current investment relationship, or have had such a relationship with them or their management team in the past.
The businesses’ representatives will meet with around 25 venture capital firms, and will hear what they’re looking for in potential investee companies.
They will also take part in speed networking sessions that will help to establish areas of potential mutual interest with the investment companies.
