Recruitment group expands
A NORTH East recruitment firm has expanded its presence on Teesside with a move to a bigger office and two major appointments on the back of rapid growth in the region.
TEMP-TEAM, which last year doubled its annual turnover to £14.5m and recently opened its first Scottish office, has moved from Redcar into a larger site in Stockton’s Preston Farm Business Centre.
The move comes amid strong demand for temporary and permanent placements in the industrial and technical sectors and will facilitate an increased focus on commercial, customer-facing, financial and marketing roles.
The company has appointed an industrial consultant at the new office and promoted Nikki Blenkhorn as the new branch manager at the site.
Ms Blenkhorn, who has worked for TEMP-TEAM since 2002, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me to develop my skills further and a fantastic platform to begin my career as a manager. The Teesside branch already has an established and friendly team which I am looking forward to working with.
“On Teesside we have proven to be extremely successful in both the industrial and technical sectors, covering both temporary staffing requirements and permanent placements.
“We are known for building strong, long- lasting relationships with candidates and clients to ensure both parties are matched suitably and successfully and I intend to continue to build this reputation from the new branch.”
Managing director Julie Cummings said: “Despite difficult times in the employment market, we are one of the few recruitment agencies in the region that continues to expand and trade strongly.
“We are now looking increase our foothold in the commercial sector by seeking opportunities to support clients with the recruitment of customer service, sales, finance, HR, marketing and administrative staffing requirements.”
TEMP-TEAM has eight offices across Tyneside, Durham, Teesside, Yorkshire and Scotland.
