New flexible marketing service launched
A new marketing service to provide flexible work for marketers has been launched by two local businesswomen.
Marketer Claire Mitchell and recruitment expert Clare Fenwick have together launched The Marketing Bank that will provide assignments for marketers who don’t want or need full time work.
The pair decided to launch the company after identifying a need for on-demand marketing and a corresponding pool of marketers who were willing to be in-sourced.
This was highlighted by Claire Mitchell’s frustration at the lack of part time marketing work available after she returned to work following the birth of her daughter.
The concept has proved popular both with businesses and marketers alike, many of whom recognise the financial and time constraints, which are placed upon employers and employees.
Clare Fenwick said: “We spoke to many local businesses of all sizes and they really got the idea. Some had headcount freezes, others simply didn’t need a full time marketer – but all of them needed marketing expertise within the business and without the burden of juggling budgets, PAYE and other employment issues.”
Since the company was established two weeks ago, five local companies have already used The Marketing Bank to get part time and temporary marketing support.
