New business support helpline launched
The Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk has expressed his support for a new Business Link support helpline.
In conjunction with the website, the telephone helpline will offer information to new and established SMEs to ensure their business can run successfully.
Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk said: “I am very pleased to confirm the appointment of the Business Link helpline.
“The helpline will play a vital role in supporting small businesses and start ups, especially those businesses that need assistance to access information available on the web.”
A dedicated team specially trained to support businesses will staff the helpline, which is due to be fully operational by 25 November 2011. They will continue to maintain links with the Business and Enterprise group to draw from their experiences with helping businesses.
This helpline is being launched alongside a new online mentoring portal, mentorsme.co.uk. The website was set up by the UK’s five largest high street banks, and will offer support on a range of issues. Including HR, marketing and finance.
