New start up helping businesses sell overseas
A North East business development company may have only just launched, but it is already helping clients into international markets.
LMC International was set up by Newcastle-based Lesley Milbourne after working in business mentoring, training and helping organisations reach profitability and legislative requirements.
Alongside her business partner Yasser Jan, who is experienced in sales and marketing, thie pair decided to join forces to offer a complete service to companies wanting to expand.
Lesley previously also worked as a virtual export manager for UK Trade and Investment, where she noticed that many companies in the region wanted to break into the international market but had no contacts to do so.
Lesley said: “Over the years I’ve managed to help a number of companies sell their products into overseas markets.
“And I realised that this was something I could develop further as another aspect of my existing business.”
Since their inception, the company has worked with Newcastle based Phoenix Training and Development (Global) LTD., which specialises in providing business and management training in leadership and management training. The company is now looking to deliver its qualifications in and around Dubai.
Jan Pallas, Director of Phoenix Training and development said: ““Lesley’s expertise and guidance has most definitely enabled us to move forward with our growth plans to operate in the Middle East,”
It is now hoped that this success will pave the way for other companies in the region to begin offering their services overseas.
