This weeks new appointments

The chief executive of NHS North East Ian Dalton CBE has been appointed to lead the new north cluster of strategic health authorities, NHS North of England.

Ian and his counterparts across the country will now work in partnership to ensure the smooth transition into the new healthcare system.

Ian Dalton said: ““I am very pleased to take on this important role and together with other northern colleagues, ensure the NHS in the north continues to deliver as we put patients at the heart of everything we do.

“It is essential that the new SHA cluster arrangements are embedded well in advance of the busy winter period and that we continue to ensure quality and productivity improvements across the entire NHS during this period of change.

Tees Valley Unlimited have appointed three new members to its leadership board, Ian Kinnery, David Robinson and David Soley.

All three join the local enterprise partnership with a wealth of private sector experience, and will help to realise its Statement of Ambition.

Stephen Catchpole, TVU’s managing director commented: “We received a strong response to our invitation for new board members, and I believe the calibre and enthusiasm of our new board members will prove to be great assets in helping the LEP successfully meet the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

Deloitte are pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Feechan to the position of office senior partner of its North East practice.

Paul joined Deloitte in 1992, but has spent most of his career in Newcastle working with many of the region’s largest businesses.

Paul said: “It is a great privilege to be given the opportunity to lead the Newcastle Office.

“We are in an excellent position with an exciting client portfolio and a very strong team who are committed to providing outstanding advice and service to our clients.”

Julie Gillespie has joined the corporate finance team at unw after spending 13 years working on public sector infrastructure initiatives.

Julie will contribute to the public sector side of the business and will assist unw to provide advice on policy, corporate structure and procurement.

Reviving the Heart of the West End are celebrating the appointment of two new recruits to their charitable trust.

Hannah Claydon joins the team as a development officer, and Claire Scott comes to the charity as a customer support officer. Both will now help with the development and support of enterprising projects and the managing of business centres in the West End.

Alexandra Johnson, manager of RHWE said: “We receive hundreds of applications for these positions so we are delighted with the response.

“Both new recruits show great enthusiasm for the trust, which has been running for over seven years, and I’m sure they will both be invaluable to our team.”

The Parklands Golf Complex on the Gosforth Park Estate has appointed a new general manager to the site.

Joe Fleetwood will take up the position after spending time working in gold management and as a professional golfer.

Joe said: “There is a huge amount of potential in the business and I am looking forward to using my experience of the golf and leisure sectors to move Parklands forward, enhance its facilities and service offering and build on the successes the team here have already achieved.”
