North East Image Library Launched
Local photographer Peter Atkinson has launched a new online image library featuring thousands of new photographs of the region.
Peter decided to set up Icon Image Library after receiving several enquiries, including one from New Zealand about his photographs, which were on display in several locations around Newcastle, including the airport and Pan Haggerty restaurant.
The online library features thousands of royalty-free and rights managed images, which are clearly labelled and easily accessed by the sites users.
Creative director Jacqueline Vinestock commented: “ There are a lot of extremely good photographers in the North East, but we feel we offer an amazing diversity of images on our site, whereas many of them tend to be very specialist.
“We don’t sell our images anywhere else and although we would never expect to be anything like the size of huge libraries, we offer a much more personal service if you want to take advantage of it.”
Images can be bought online on an exclusive basis for up to 6 months at a time, meaning that as soon as an online order is confirmed, the image disappears from the website. The site also offers designers the option to look ahead to find images for upcoming events, such as Christmas.
Jacqueline added: “Great care has been taken to make buying or images as easy and enjoyable as possible for our customers, and we are always very happy to advise if there is any confusion as to how the photographs may be used.”
