Businesses should engage with successful students says NECC
Record numbers of students have been accepted to university today, with 384,649 students successfully obtaining their grades compared with 379,411 last year.
President of the NECC, John Mowbray sees these results as a massive coup for the region, and is now encouraging the local business community to engage with these talented youngsters.
“The students receiving their A-level results in the North East today deserve huge congratulations after the effort they have put into these courses,” he commented.
“They represent an impressive pool of talent for our region and it is now critical that we in the business community play our part in developing that potential to help them find high quality careers here.”
