E-procurement business celebrates growth
A Northumberland based business is celebrating the growth of their e-procurement service, which is now being used by almost half of London’s boroughs.
Due North specializes in collaborative tender portals to help councils comply with the governments directive on collective procurements and enables them to engage more effectively with their SME base by consolidating tender opportunities all in once place.
More than 17,500 supplies already make use of the portal, and to date over 1100 contracts with the total value of £4.5 billion.
Richard Leslie, e-sourcing solutions manager at Due North said: “The London Tenders Portal showcased an innovative approach to collaborative working when it launched four years ago and continues to benefit all the stakeholders involved.
Many of the boroughs chose the system because it provides them with affordable and paperless procurement systems, which are regularly updated to ensure standardization for tendering processes.
Richard added; “The portal has a first-rate reputation for delivering results as well as minimizing both risk and cost to its users, and we hope that other boroughs will follow in the footsteps of other boroughs, and join this established and hugely successful collaborative environment.”
