Member News: Your TV is your gym
North Shields based creative agency Armadillo, is developing an application to be preinstalled on Samsung Smart TVs. HealthClubTV is a web-based exercise business that promises to let you ‘take the gym with you, providing you with instant, easy access to all your essential workouts, anytime, anywhere.’ The Application development will bring the essential elements of this service direct to Samsung Smart TV users across Europe, utilising the latest tv and App technologies.
The development process involves a great deal of liaison with Samsung to meet their specification and to adapt the current HealthClubTV operation to this new, evolving platform. The App is being designed to give Samsung users the best user experience possible as they engage with HealthClubTV for the first time. Matt Wade, Armadillo’s Digital Manager said “There are lots of Apps on the Samsung platform and it’s a rapidly developing area; it’s crucial that the HealthClubTV App stands out in the crowd and meets the essential functionality that Samsung Customers expect.”
HealthClubTV’s Managing Director, Chris Cooke commented, “This is a critical stage of development for HealthClubTV. We’re negotiating a lot of new contracts and have some very exciting developments in the pipeline. Getting the Samsung App up and running, within budget and on schedule is an important first step and Armadillo have got it spot on.”
