North East Engineering merger finalised
Two local engineering companies specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering have merged to form ENEX Group Limited.
Mechanical Engineers Flow Matters and Technical Ex Services decided on the partnership after discovering that their services complimented each other. The two will now merge their resources to provide services to clients in the offshore and onshore industries including engineering design, surveying, procurement, installation and after sales support.
Wayne Hodgson, managing director of ENEX commented: ““As our major customers continue to grow in size and influence, we aspire to do the same.
“Many of them are now looking for longer term committed supply contract partnership, and ENEX Group fully intends to promote a similar expansion to support these contracts.”
The business is now looking to expand its electrical, engineering and mechanical trades through the ENEX Group apprenticeship scheme.
ENEX is also looking to open its first southern UK operations by the end of the year, and in Aberdeen by the end of March 2012.
Dave Jackson, Contracts Director of ENEX Group and former head of Technical Ex Services (UK), added: “ENEX Group has the flexibility, scale and high level of service which we believe is needed in today’s marketplace to capture improved value across the sectors.
“We have had a very positive response since we joined forces”.
