£10m deal for local aviation firm
A local aviation firm is celebrating after securing a prestigious £10 million contract with the Ministry of Defence.
Cobham Flight Inspection, have won a four year deal with the MoD which will involve the calibration of navigation and landing aids at each of the MoD’s airfields worldwide.
The company were successful in winning the contract due their expertise in the production of flight check navigation aids for moving landing strips on military ships.
Flight Inspection director Ron Raison commented: “Cobham prides itself on its ability to provide a responsive and flexible service, which can meet the ever changing demands of its customers.
“Through its service on this contract and other key service delivery arrangement for the UK MoD, Cobham has demonstrated its capability in partnering innovative solutions and flexibility, such that it has been assessed as the premier supplier to the UK MoD.”
Cobham Flight Inspection is a division of technology giant Cobham who specialise in date, connectivity and bandwidth in the defence, security and commercial environments.
