Darlington wedding company expanding regionally

Bells are ringing for a Darlington based wedding company, after they announced plans to expand their business throughout the region.

Darlington Weddings has doubled its revenue year on year, and is now set to open branches in Middlesbrough and Durham, as well as appointing a new marketing manager and creating an online directory.

Business owner Craig Maddison commented: “I am delighted to be growing my business from what was originally a passing idea to list wedding resources online, to doubling the revenue from the site every year since 2008 and listing over 60 businesses.

Craig eventually hopes to open branches in Newcastle, Sunderland, Stockton and Hartlepool.

He has also appointed Katie Nicolle as marketing manager for the business. Katie will be responsible for helping to grow the business, and is responsible for its first wedding fayre later this month.

She commented: “I’m thrilled to be working with Craig and I’m confident I can help him grow the business.

“We really want people to know who we are and to demonstrate that we are a reliable and helpful point of contact for those looking to tie the knot.”
