Accountancy practice Tait Walker have appointed Alastair Wilson as a new partner within the tax team.
Alastair will provide a range of tax services including advising on tax compliance and tax efficient structures.
Tait Walker’s managing partner, David Arthur, said:
“Efficient tax planning is often the key to success and I am confident Alastair’s appointment at partner level will make a major contribution to the achievement of our ongoing business development strategy.”
Alastair added:
“The ability to mitigate tax costs, generate tax refunds or turn tax assets into realized value, all add real worth to a business and I have a wealth of experience helping North East businesses to improve their financial performance by using the provisions of the UK’s tax legislation to their advantage.”
Motor group JCT600 has appointed Scott Hutton as service manager at its Porsche and Bentley dealerships in Newcastle.
Scott will oversee the dealerships’ service department, organising and managing the service team.
“This is an exciting new challenge for me,” said Scott. “JCT600 has a reputation for outstanding service in the North East and beyond and the role fits perfectly with my experience in the industry.”
Scott Hutton worked at Land Rover Newcastle for the last 10 years in various roles. He joined as an apprentice technician, and later qualified as the youngest master technician there.
He was promoted to control the workshop, and then spent two years as a service manager.
Peel Airports Limited, parent company of Durham Tees Valley Airport, have appointed Charlotte Buckley to their sales team.
As a Sales Executive, Charlotte will meet with retail travel agents and corporate clients to attract increased business to the Durham airport.
Charlotte said: “My job is to give the retail agents selling directly to the public and those serving corporate clients the maximum support and information so they can best serve their customers.”
New Airport Director Steve Gill said: “We all recognise that the airport has been through a tough period—and times are still challenging—but Charlotte’s appointment underlines our belief that we can move forward and build on the wide level of support for the airport amongst local people and the regional business community.”
