A bright future for apprentices
Three young and enthusiastic apprentices in the Hartlepool area have been offered permanent employment with one of the UK’s leading Energy Consultancies, Energy Direct (UK) Ltd.
Cherise Bradley (18), Amber Cockrill (19) and Lauren Henderson (19) have shown great potential at north-east based Energy Direct (UK) Ltd, having completed a 6 month Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship through Baltic Training Services.
Their enthusiasm, industry-relevant experience and nationally recognised qualifications have provided an attractive long-term employment proposition for the independent energy consultants, whose mission is to deliver high quality and innovative utility management solutions which allow their clients the time to focus on core business challenges.
Baltic Training Services, who operate a variety of apprenticeship training programmes nationally, believe that this clearly demonstrates the positive impact that apprentices and apprenticeship training can have on organisations.
This is reinforced by Energy Direct (UK) Ltd, having encouraged the successful apprentices to continue their apprenticeship programme to advanced level with Baltic Training, in addition to taking on further apprentices, selected and trained by the specialist training provider, to add to their existing workforce in light of this current success.
Andrew Lenehan, Business Development Manager at Baltic Training Services said, “We are very proud of our apprentices and the positive impression they have made. We encourage other forward-thinking organisations to embrace apprenticeship programmes as a low-risk, cost-effective recruitment option that will see organisations, such as Energy Direct (UK) Ltd, reap the long-term benefits of a skilled and diverse workforce.
“Our training programmes develop apprentices to ensure they are work ready and add value to an organisation from day one. Our successful partnerships with high-profile organisations such as Energy Direct (UK) Ltd, clearly demonstrate why Government funding and support for apprenticeship training delivered by a professional training provider such as Baltic, and the high calibre of our apprentices, proves to be a winning model, not just for progressive organisations like Energy Direct (UK) Ltd, but in tackling the country-wide issue of youth unemployment.”
Baltic Training Services specialise in apprenticeship programmes in a range of industry sectors, offering flexible, industry-relevant training that can help boost productivity and competitiveness, which are valuable assets in today’s dynamic and tough business climate.
