This weeks new appointments
The Business Growth Fund, established to help Britain’s SMEs has announced the appointment as Andy Gregory as Regional Director for the North of England and Northern Ireland. He will now lead investment in the region, and will sit on the BGF national investment committee.
Andy Gregory, BGF Regional Director for the North of England and Northern Ireland, commented: “I have worked in the North of England for many years and know it well.
“There are many businesses here that could benefit from the financial support and expertise that the BGF is offering as a partnership investor. I would urge business owners to come and talk to us. Shout Digital have appointed three new recruits at their fast growing office in Jesmond.
Steve Archbold, Alasdair Graham and Rachel Crawford have taken up positions at the firm, increasing staff numbers to 21.
Managing director Gary Boon said: “Introducing a full-time online marketing specialist and additional skilled user experience and software developers enables us to offer clients a broader content management system as well as more developed programmes which will have more of a positive effect on their business.
“The increase in contract wins also means that we can continue to source more talent in the North East as well as being on target to open our London offices by the end of the year and grow the agency nationally.”
A Newcastle based voice and data communications company has made two new appointments, with plans to recruit more over the next 12 months.
Ben Gordon and Luke Elliott will join the firm as telecoms engineers covering some of the companies’ major new contracts.
Director Lorraine Sykes, who established the company in 2009 said: “I’m delighted with the way things have gone in our first two years of business.
“We’ve managed to grow our workforce from two to five whilst also recruiting three agents to sell our services, with plans to recruit more in the North East and further afield in the coming months.”
Cobalt Business Park had appointed a senior surveyor to join the marketing team.
Marcus Hayes has six years experience in marketing key regional office schemes and national acquisitions on behalf of corporate occupiers.
He will now work with joint agents Cushman & Wakefield and BNP Paribas Real Estate in London and across the UK.
