NOF Energy help local businesses looking for investment

North East energy businesses are to be given a crash-course on how to attract interest from major business investors.

NOF Energy will hold a roundtable discussion at their Durham office on October 12 at 9am, where specialist advice from business investment expert and director of North East Business Angels, Andrew Burton, will be available.

The session is aimed at decision-makers who are looking for essential investment, typically ranging from £10,000 to £200,00.

He will advise on how to propose and attract investment, along with tips on relevant tax reliefs, tailored to the specific needs of the energy sector.

Joanne Leng MBE, director of business development at NOF Energy, said: “This event will give attendees a detailed and important insight into the preferred prospects angel investors look for when choosing to initiate a deal.

“Both angel investors and corporate ventures are paying increasing attention to suppliers in the energy sector for being innovative, dynamic and ambitious.

North East Business Angels provide private and corporate investors with a network base to identify investment opportunities for companies in the North East and beyond.

As an emerging market, the UK energy sector is currently attractive to their members and other investors.

Joanne added: “With opportunities emerging through new markets both in the UK and internationally, financial support and advice is crucial for the supply chain to capitalise on future demand.”
