Would you like to be the next big children’s author?
The Northern Star competition is back! Run as part of the Northern Children’s Book Festival, the competition gives budding North East authors the chance to have their children’s book illustrated and printed for free.
The book can be on any topic as long as it is suitable for children aged between seven and nine. All entries will be judged by North East library staff and the winner will be announced at the Northern Children’s Book Festival Gala Weekend at Benfield School, Newcastle, on Sunday 20th November.
All entrants need to do is submit a 1,000 word synopsis (maximum) of their story by 21 October for their chance to win.
