North East Expo brings former ‘Dragon’ to the region

TV star and successful entrepreneur, Rachel Elnaugh will be giving words of wisdom and advice to business owners and employees from across the region at this November’s North East Expo.

Rachel, founder of the gift experiences brand, Red Letter Days, and star of the first two series of Dragon’s Den, will be delivering one of the free masterclasses at this year’s North East Expo, being held at Newcastle Racecourse on 9 November.

Rachel is now a business mentor, writer and speaker, using her own experiences in both business and in the Den to support others.

Rachel stated that she was looking forward to sharing her experiences at the Expo. “Events such as this help business owners and employees to develop, as well as supporting them in making connections that will assist the growth of their company.”

This is the third North East Expo, sponsored by Sage UK and organised by local business owners Andrew Charlton of BACK Consulting, based in Cramlington and Marc Gordon of Network North, based in Sunderland.

The event is free to attend, meaning all businesses, no matter how large or small, can come along and network, building their business through new connections and personal development sessions.

Marc Gordon said, “The last North East Expo was a huge success with 110 companies exhibiting and over 900 attendees. We are expecting it to be even bigger this year, especially with the incredible bonus of having Rachel Elnaugh delivering one of the masterclasses.”

The event is expected to attract 180 exhibitors and over 1,000 attendees, with 140 exhibition spaces already filled. The organisers are advising early booking in order to guarantee first choice on the masterclasses.
