This weeks new starters: 24th October 2011

The tax team at Deloitte have grown its team by 25% by recruiting a range of experienced tax professionals and five graduates to help further grow the business.

David McCreadie has been appointed senior tax manager, Natalie Newton as senior associate in the private client services team, as well as Hydeam Sulton to the indirect tax team and Kelly Ridley to private client services.

Stephen Hall, tax partner for Deloitte commented: “There are some exceptional candidates in the market place and recruiting the strongest talent is an important part of our strategy to reinforce our position as the largest tax practice in the North East.”

Guerilla Communications have recruited five new members of staff to add to their flourishing business.

Nikki Carr will head up the accounts department, Madeline Griffifth joins the company as a PR manager and Marc Shepherd joins as digital account manager. Emily Ogilive has joined the company for her placement year from Newcastle University, and Hollie Jacklin joins the team as personal assistant.

Managing Director, James Allen, said “It’s an exciting time at Guerilla Communications as we look to grow our digital and PR divisions. Having the right people working here is essential to that expansion.

Two Castles Housing Association has appointed four new board members to its team.

Stephen Bennet, Ann Carr, Fiona Moore and Judith Million will now begin to contribute their extensive experience to the association.

Stephanie Murphy, chief executive of Two Castles Housing Association said:

“Our new Board members bring with them an abundance of experience from a wide variety of backgrounds in industry, private sector and public service, which I am sure will benefit Two Castles Housing Association, and ultimately our residents.

“We are all very much looking forward to working with them.”

Qubic Tax, Newcastle have added a new associate director to their team.

Mark Richardson will bring 20 years of experience to the firm, which specialises in a range of tax solutions.

Qubic Tax director Cathy Rouse commented: “The appointment of Mark as associate director of business development is a clear indication that as we are expanding to enjoy a firm stronghold in the market, both in the North East and beyond.

“Mark is well respected in the financial services sector and to have someone of his calibre on board will serve to strengthen Qubic Tax by raising brand awareness so that we continue to thrive in the market place.”

Explain Research have added two new staff to its team of researchers from two universities in the region.

Colette Stevens and Graham Goodings will now begin 12 month placements at the firm.

Kim Davis, Director of Research commented: “We have a fantastic partnership with Northumbria and Newcastle Universities and take an obvious interest is seeing academic excellence work hand in hand with sound practical experience.
